Quiet Quota
I collaborated with 8 people from London and 15 people from Stoke-on-Trent to create a game called Quiet Quota. It was a stealth based dungeon crawler where the player would get given either a target to eliminate or an object to steal from castle. The player would then venture forth to accomplish there goal. With each successful contract they would earn gold that they could spend on items within the shop. I worked as a junior UI designer on this project and during my time I designed and created the shop UI. During my time on this project I first researched shop UI's that I wanted to take inspiration from. These ended up being the store from cuphead, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, Devil May Cry 5 and Undertale. From their I looked at the sprite work done by one of our artist for the store clerk. He looked rather shady and had a large cloak on. This reminded me of Resident Evil 4s merchant and thats where I layed the basis for my first design. I thought it would be cool if the entire shop was in his cloak, with him opening his cloak to review items.
After much reworking, I finalised this design with my manager and went into unreal engine to make it. The exact cloak idea could not be done unfortunately as the pixel artist just didn't have enough time, but the general concept and page layout stayed.

Overall this was a fun experience which taught me not only how to work in a team, but also how to work remotely (since the majority of the team was in stoke). The game trailer can be found below as well as a link to the itch.io page so you can try it out as well.
